Young people advisors are responsible for supporting young people after they turn 18, when PEP meetings no longer take place in schools and young people’s education is supported through pathway meetings.

The advisors provide individual personal support and advocacy for young people based on an assessment of their learning and personal development needs, and the negotiation and agreement of learning and personal development plans and pathway plans. The advisors ensure a multi-agency approach to supporting vulnerable young people or those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
