One of the Aspire Virtual School’s responsibilities is to develop and implement programmes and activities that support the education, employment and training of care-experienced children and young people.

Feedback from our Young People
'I enjoyed making new friends, and I was very proud of myself for caving as I was scared of heights, but I did the challenges', Leigh.

'This weekend, I had an amazing time. We went gorge walking, the food was great, and we went underneath the waterfalls. I had the most amazing time I could have had', Francis.
The Aspire Virtual School offers a wide range of enrichment activities for our looked after children to support their personal development, mental health, emotional well-being, and educational engagement. These activities are designed to complement academic learning and help children to build their confidence, resilience, social skills, and aspirations. Children are able to form positive relationships and are introduced to new career pathways and lifelong interests.
A Summer in Trewern
Trewern was a new adventure for the Virtual School, our young people, and staff. The young people experienced various activities such as Caving, Mountain Climbing, Swimming in the Open River, Gorge Walking and Archery. Students gave excellent feedback on the trip.
